On routine oral exam, multiple pulp horn defects of the 109 were observed. Radiographs confirmed an apical infection of the 109.

This competitive, upper level dressage horse was having behavior changes associated with riding with a bit. Radiographs confirmed Equine Odontoclastic Tooth Resorption and Hypercementosis.
Sinusitis and 209 Extraction via Partial Coronectomy
This horse was diagnosed with a left-sided caudal maxillary sinusitis caused by apical disease of the 209.
Sinusitis, 209 Extraction via Sectioning and 210 extraction, Sinoscopy
This horse had a long standing history of a left maxillary sinusitis. This horse was diagnosed with periodontal disease and periapical abscess of the 209 and 210. This horse's sinusitis did not resolve after extractions and required a sinoscopy.
Halicephalobiasis
This horse exhibited oral verminous gingivitis and osteomyelitis lesions and nematode morphology. Halicephalobus spp is a nematode parasite that can cause a rare, fatal form of meningoencephalomyelitis in horses.
Avulsion Fracture
This yearling was referred for the repair of a fracture at the incisive bone symphysis and a complicated root fracture of the 602.
Fractured Mandible and Fractured 707
This filly was referred for an oral exam after fracturing her mandible. Oral exam and radiographs showed a fractured 707 and apical abscess.
