Let's put a face with the voice! Maria is who you talk to when you call the practice. She has been helping keep Garden State Equine organized since December of 2016. Maria was born and raised in New Jersey and has been involved with horses for nearly her entire life. She raised, trained, and raced standardbreds for years and now enjoys watching her daughter show her off-the-track standardbred.
In addition to working for Garden State Equine, Maria has run a boarding facility in New Egypt for more than 30 years. On the rare occasion the Maria gets a free moment, she enjoys to golf, having helped her family run a golf course prior to being involved with horses.
Alexa Forman Veterinary Assistant Fear Free Certified Veterinary Professional - Equine
Alexa started with Garden State Equine in the spring of 2017. She took a brief year and a half hiatus to work in equine and mixed animal veterinary practices in Texas, focusing primarily on equine critical care & reproduction before returning to New Jersey in the beginning of 2021.
Alexa grew up in New Jersey and was an active member of her local 4-H, competed on the NJ horse judging team, and rode hunter/ jumpers. Alexa went to college at West Texas A&M University, earned a B.S. in Agriculture Media and Communications, and started riding cowhorses. She is currently completing an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. In addition to working at GSE, Alexa also foals out Standardbred mares for Fair Winds Farm. In her rare free time, Alexa enjoys riding her horses and hiking with her dog.
